Summary:

The Village of Lincolnwood (pop. 12,590), a dynamic, progressive community with beautiful neighborhoods and vibrant commercial districts located just north of the City of Chicago is seeking its next Video Operator to operate the broadcast camera system for regularly scheduled Village Board and Commission meetings. The Village maintains a live broadcast camera system in its Village Board Room for its residents viewing on Comcast and AT&T U-Verse. This system requires one operator to position four cameras from a production booth. Meetings are held in the evenings during weeknights and are approximately one to five hours in length. Conditions require the Video Operator to fit in a small Audio/Visual room, with seating dimensions limited to 30 inches in width and 50 inches in depth.

Required Skills/Education/Experience

• A minimum of 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to speak and read English effectively
• Must be able to receive written and oral instructions
• Must be able to operate buttons, switches, and other necessary requirements of operating a camera system
• Experience in camera operation or related field a plus

Hours and Pay Range: Wage is $21.60 - $27.69 per hour DOQ. The position works for 20 - 35 hours per month, depending on the frequency and length of meetings. Residency is not required for this position. This is a non-exempt, non-union position.
